The Forth Road Bridge

I didn't really intend to end up here but I missed the turn off for North Queensferry so had no choice but to cross the bridge. In the event it was worth the extra 15 minutes to stop and take a few shots from the south side of the river. This bridge was opened 50 years ago in September and since then has been the main road link between Lothian and Fife. A new bridge is currently under construction to cater for the increased levels of traffic crossing the Forth and to 'share the load' with the current bridge.
