Sitting on the harbour wall

After a nice sunrise it turned rather blowy as the tide went out. I explored the harbour with my Mum and spotted these two Herring gulls sitting among the chains and ropes. The small flowers are growing between all the cobbles of the harbour both on the ground and in the cracks of the walls.

Last night we went to 'The Three corners of Cromarty' a presentation by 12-24 year. The weather stayed dry, just about, as two flares were set off and a squiggle of sawdust was set alight. With ribbons turning two girls climbed onto the wall and acted out the story of the sun and the sea and explaining how The links were formed. A dolphin and a fish, a tissue sculpture , were then carried in front of the lighthouse and we followed them up to the bus stop where a projection of people using the play park were displayed.
After some free Pizza we were sent to the Gaelic Church ( Wednesdays blip) where a girl sang and played guitar as the birds sang their night time song. The trees had been decorated using chalk and candles lit up the corners and three girls stood on the branches. The evening ended with a firework display.
The whole event had been put together in a few days and they had also tidied and cleared up the Church. It sounds like other things will now be planned as the acoustics were really good in there. Shakespeare was mentioned !
