The Mast, Winter Hill

When you can see the mast it's going to rain,
when you can't, it's raining!

That's what we used to be told when we first moved to the area.  Bolton used to be a cotton spinning town and for that you need damp conditions.  The climate has changed and it is no longer as rainy but we still have a number of reservoirs which provide good walks.
