It took us 9.5 hours yesterday to drive from Edinburgh to Cheltenham. Journey went really well at first, through the Borders & Biggar to the M74 took 2 hours to get to the first stop - Tebay services - for some soup. Warnings at Tebay of a 50 min delay J36 to 34 so we exited at 38 and took this lovely country route down to rejoin at 34. Here's a view back across the M6 of the 'Heart on the Hill' that I've blipped before.

Back on at J34 - to a jam. Followed by more big hold ups J21A to 20 and J16 to 14 with numerous crawling episodes in between, then 3 long hold ups on the M5. Worst journey ever, needed G&T and wine recovery on arrival at my sister's.
