Marschial Square - the beginning of ..

Had a walk into town today to buy some new hillwalking boots . Town seemed quiet - probably as most folk are off on their Easter Break .
This is a view of the redevelopment of the demolished council buildings with Marschial College (HQ of the council ) and the uncleaned Mitchell Hall in the rear. The area under development is going to morph into Marschial Square with a collection of what look to me like glass box office buildings and a pedestrianised square in front of Marschial College. It will definitely be an improvement on what we had before but I cannot help but think it could have been redeveloped with a bit more imagination.
Nevertheless the granite city was looking great today and had a tramp over Elrick and Brimmond hill this afternoon to blow away the cobwebs. Great countryside 10 minutes by car from the city centre.
