construction of new house next door #1

the house next door to us is being totally demolished, so that the new owners can build a big new house. It's something we knew would happen sooner or later- the owner had passed away, it was bought as an investment and was rented out for a few years. Many small, older houses have been torn down to build big expensive ones in the area we live.
the palm tree on the right is ours, planted right on the property line, and you can see a tiny bit of my front garden in the lower right corner
