Welcome back darling

Isn't blip wonderful. Here I am miles from home and it was so good to meet waipushrink and his wife S who arrived to take me out for the day. In the afternoon we went to view a gannet colony - do look at his photo for it gives a different view. All of the nests were arranged just out of pecking distance of one another - so civilized. It would be good if humans could follow suit! Many of the chicks, although full grown, hadn't flown yet and were exercising against the wind to strengthen their muscles. Some were agitating the adults for food and of course preening was important to remove the baby fluff. There was a pretty strong stench from all the droppings.

In the morning we went to a winery where another couple of friends joined us for an excellent lunch. it was a really wonderful and sunny day that finished too quickly
