Climbing high with the big kids

Another day without the smallest one meant we could get out and tackle a hike with strenuous in the description. Made even more strenuous by our usual off the track route due to our inconsistent map reading skills! Our walk took in the Lion and the Lamb above Grassmere, which Zack scaled in his usual mountain goat style.

The morning saw the farewell to the children's old rocking horse...now with another family with little kids. Time always marching on and changes always afoot...

About to pick Sienna up from her extended stay with Grandma and her cousin Max up on the fell side farm...it's been a harmonious quiet few days in our household without the irrational behaviour energy of a six year old!
