Sunday on the Prom

The arrival of the gigantic vehicles on the promenade herald April's Links Market which coincides with a cold spell; but for the lone cyclist the fascination lies not in the weather to come but in the bustling crowds, the noise and excitement of raucous music and the appetising smell of fast food. I expect he will be there next week to spend his pocket money and probably half the housekeeping money on thrills and spills as generations have done before him.
Alternatively, he's the son of a showman, learning the trade -- so one boy will spend a fortune while in the alternative version the boy 'will make a bomb' as they say.
Whatever, either or will enjoy the day.
