Open!

Pulsatilla caucasica. I blipped a bud a few days ago, here is an open flower. Not as large as the more commonly grown species, and the flowers do not open as wide but it has a certain charm nonetheless.

Off to Wales for the week today. Late start meant a late arrival here and we were greeted by Ruth with a call to say she has a stomach bug, please would we come and collect her from the hostel and look after her. No peace for the wicked as they say! She'll mend, we'll hope not to catch it.
