New bud

This is one of the heads on one of my lithops. It is Lithops aucampiae aucampiae. It has big heads, and I will shortly be having at least five, and possibly seven, flowers. The flower bud pushes up through the slit in the middle of the head, and this one is just beginning to show the petals. The weather has turned cooler, though, so I may have to wait a bit longer.
