My first ladybird

Lovely day today and so after finishing work I dropped in to to see my mother to discover that she had captured a ladybird a short while earlier and was keeping it for me to photograph. She did this because I was moaning last year that I hadn't seen a single ladybird all year and had been hoping to blip one at some point.

Not the sharpest of shots but as soon as we put it onto the heather it was off, so I was lucky to get anything. However it is a nice contrast between the bright red and black of the ladybird and the white of the heather.
