.... a National guitar." The words are Paul Simon's. The pictured item isn't a National guitar, or even a genuine Dobro, it's a contemporary take on the rhapsodic guitar, in a music shop window. I guess the point of metal guitars was to get more volume, in a pre electric age. It is designed for bottleneck, slide playing. It just looks so godamn beautiful, and wonderfully reflective!
