Man down

This is a little Clematis Montana, caught in the afternoon sunshine. They look so delicate at this stage, before the flowers are fully out.
I could have blipped Epsom A&E at 2.30 am this morning! I was there with Normous who had fallen on his way out of choir practice. His face is badly cut and grazed so I thought a professional should clean it up. We got to the hospital at 11.15 and he was seen by midnight. They cleaned his face. He had X-rays because he had aches and pains, and he has a break in his elbow, so no golf for a good few weeks. At 2.15 they decided I should go home because they were going to admit him and do a scan in the morning in case he had concussion. He's home now, no concussion, aching all over and sound asleep with Coco on his lap. A good comforter.
