the course of nine hours

As well as the cyclist descending the hill as I reached the top of the under-crag path there was one at the side of the road fiddling with a wheel. The moving one turned out to be Mr eightthirty, who must have been just about to start the climb up the slope at the appropriate time. One the way home I briefly followed a tram, witnessed some sustained tubery from an impatient dingbat on the NEPN between Craigleith and Newhaven and then remembered that I still had a tape measure in my bag from last week when I passed the new unimproved chicanes on the path beside Leith Links. Within minutes of getting home the steamer was back out, with the remaining wall being completed just in time for the big one's bath.
