The SPE staff are working on the Kessock Bridge refurbishment again this year. And like last year one (or some) of their number has (have) a good sense of humour, and an artistic bent.

Last year they had several lashed up mobile shelters, that allowed them to work on the bridge's surface in most weather. They were made with scaffolding tubes and tarpaulins. Those tarpaulins eventually became covered with all manner of comic sketches of the Staff, and their out-of-work-hours activities in the locality. All a big mick-take, and entertaining to passers by. I did take several photos of them, but don't recall using any as Blips.

The works this year appear to be progressing very much faster than last year. And I wouldn't be surprised if they finished early. The weather's been much better. Last year there were numerous wild days when works had to be curtailed. I suspect after their experiences of the conditions and the work  last year, they're tackling the works quite differently. The shelters this year are made of sheet steel, and heavy enough to be effective in any weather.

Haven't as yet Blipped much of it, as getting to my usual vantage point requires a big detour this year, with an extra long steep hill. Had to cycle up that hill every work day last year. Certainly don't miss it this year!
