Heaven Scent

I have an American friend who grows a huge number of tender rhododendrons from seed and has nowhere to put them. Last year he gave me many wonderful plants, ranging from seedlings an inch high to shrubs of five feet. This example is a hybrid of two rhododendrons, 'Heaven Scent' and 'Candle Light', neither of which I know; they must be American hybrids, but both in the Maddenia sub-section - tender and beautifully perfumed. The larger plants will go out into the garden this season.

There are so many of these amazingly fragrant plants out in flower here at the moment - we've had two gorgeously sunny days!
