Crazy Overstuffed Life

Gabardine

Gabardine is the name of a little pub next to our office, the sign of which you can see reflected in my glass if you look closely.

It was to Gabardine that my law partner and I retreated for a brief respite, to reflect, regroup and recover after surviving our firm's first Law Society audit. It was not my favourite among the milestones that J and I have marked in just under five years since we decided to hang up a shingle and break away from a national firm of over 300 to a boutique of two lawyers (now three). The wine, however, was very good.
