Rhododendron

The early blooming rhodos beat even the wild azaleas in the race to bloom. This is the first big bloom in my yard each spring. They're beautiful and typically bloom before the last frost date. I'm relieved when the flowers finish on their own without the help of freezing temps. Visitors to these beauties include bumble bees, butterflies, humming birds, all variety of little pollinators, and the beloved honey bee.
