and so it goes.....
A very dead Painted Jezebel butterfly in the dust on one of our bookshelves. Been there quite a while. Not sure why it remains - perhaps I knew there was a reason for it to stay - perhaps it was just too pretty to move, finding beauty in death. Not sure why it came in - perhaps in the drought it was desperately searching for a flower and mistook the colourful books for flowery bushes, a mirage of sorts...
