The boys and I went to Callander House in Falkirk today. It's a bit of a random place but worth a visit.

They (kinda weirdly) have a room in the house that's a mock-up of a record shop. There are 7"s, 12"s and albums stuck up all over the place and some 60's and 70's 'stuff' like pre-decimal coins, a dial phone and the blipped scrapbook showing all the lovely grub we used to eat (I used to love Vesta chow mein with those weird crispy things on the top - that was a real treat in our house!).

The gardens around the house are lovely too and the boys were able to bounce off some energy on the bouncy castle.

The drive home was long and meandering and we ended up making our way back past Carron reservoir with a wee detour into Fintry.

It was one of those aimless days where we just wandered really. I'm feeling a bit like that today - aimless and day-dreamy (or is that dozy and gormless?)
