The perfect welcome

Situated right by our garden gate, these Lilac Wonder tulips put a smile on my face every time I come home. These are the sort of flowers that remind us what utterly beautiful colours and forms there are in the plant world. However, I have to admit that a little bit of the smile is because we paid just 1£ for each clump because they were the final bin end of last season's features at the garden centre - that was ten days ago and they are still in full bloom!
