Memorial on Katy Trail

When I ride to work, I take the train to Victory Station and ride my bike up the Katy Trail. Several years ago, a runner was hit on the trail by a cyclist. Much of the trail has a separate pedestrian/running trail made of asphalt. Where she got hit, the trail was split, and she was running on the part where runners and riders share the lanes. My observation is that cyclist ride too fast. Runners are arrogant and run as if they own the trail. No one saw what happened. The cyclist was not fined.

An impromptu monument was erected for the girl who died. This is part of permanent monument.
