The hat makes the man

When I asked Martin (in the pink hat) for a snap, he knew why. 'It's the hat, isn't it?' (It was actually because his pal was otherwise engaged, talking to a potential customer). Martin reckons he generates far more interest in their paintball venture than his mate, who is only prepared to wear a grey hat, but the evidence was against him.
