A beautiful decrepit old building in Tillingham, Essex. Former home to a plough maker. Although wonky and apparently on the verge of collapse it is still occupied - albeit largely by junk and loved, witness the flowers planted outside.

If you're ever in this part of deepest Essex, take a look for yourself. And be absolutely sure to visit the beautiful, simple and diminutive St Peter's chapel nearby, built by St Cedd in 654AD using Roman stones.

St Cedd and his fellow monks sailed down the East coast of England from Lindesfarne to save the souls of the Essex people. Did he succeed?
