Berlin wall bits

On Monday we did the bus tour. It was great to see all the famous sights and landmarks but kind of strange because so much of Berlin is new. At Alexanderplatz, for instance, the recorded commentary talks about the historic events which happened there and led to the Wall coming down, but all you can see is a pedestrian plaza and a sofa showroom.

There are sections of the Wall scattered around town, like this one in Potsdamer Platz, which is handy for photographs. And there seems to be an endless supply of chunks of wall for the souvenir shops. So we bought some. We reckoned it was definitely from a wall, probably from Berlin, and that was good enough.
