frenzy

A pool full of koi carp at the tropical house. Visitors can induce this frenzy by throwing in food. I felt vaguely uncomfortable about it; even animals as dim and unlikable as giant goldfish deserve a bit better than to be obliged to jostle and root for food in a squabbling crowd, I think.
