Goanna

A sunny Good Friday, so we took our lunch and headed for the beautiful scenery of the Mary Valley. We couldn't believe it when we spotted this 3 or 4ft big boy. Although quite timid, the Goanna's bite can be nasty due to all the bacteria they carry in their mouths. It's the first time I've seen one in the wild so felt quite excited! Needless to say, we kept our distance.
