Hot Work On Good Friday

This is an update Blip on progress regarding the demolition and processing of the old Nairn Factory. I Blipped a section of the building before demolition, Blipped again when demolition was in progress, and for a third time when the building had been reduced to large boulders. For some time now, there has been ground work going on reducing the demolished building to much smaller rubble, and I think the process is nearing completion.

You can see from the photo that rubble is being dumped from the mound on the right of the picture, into a machine that grinds it down even further. It is then transferred to the mound on the left (there is only a glimpse of it here, it is very large now and I suspect will take a significant number of lorry loads to remove).

Today is Good Friday, the sun is out, and there is not a cloud in the sky. But the men in the picture are still heavily clad and must be very warm working away under such conditions. This has been weeks of work that started at the end of February, but, thankfully, seems to be nearing the final removal stage.
