Diamond studded

This are the gorgeous open flowers of the Weeping Pear tree which i blipped earlier while the buds were just thinking about opening.. Quite a difference and from the buds you would have expected red flowers - but not so. It is simply covered this year and is looking fabulous. From this angle the stamens look just like diamond studs!

A very busy day in the garden and I cannot remember being so far ahead at this time of year. I even planted out my sweet peas although Monty Don said to wait until mid may - oh well, the roots were struggling in the root trainers so they really had to be moved on. We shall see!
