Ripples and Reeds

One of my favorite places and less than an hours walk from our base in Grasmere- Alcock Tarn - I love it for the ' lost surface' at the far side of the tarn, but I love it too for the simplicity of the reeds around the edge of the lake and the shoals of tiny fish playing at the shore line

I never understand how there are fish at 350 odd meters above sea level in an isolated lake - how do those guys get there ?
