Life's Journey

By Gipsygirl

Sleeping peacefully

Hard to believe that we were in north London. St Mary's Hendon is perched on a hill a stone's throw from the madness of the North Circular, especially on a Bank Holiday. The graveyard was a mass of tumbling flowers and shrubs, verging on overgrown but in a joyous abundant outpouring of life in the warm sun with birds singing in the trees.

As a child I was dragged here every Sunday and was always entranced by the angel gravestones. Their still beauty still draws me.
