Old Glory

In a corner of of a field in this part of Galloway, by an old cottage, flies in the flag of Scotland & the USA. This is to mark the birthplace of a very significant seaman who went on to be one of the founders of the United States Navy namely John Paul Jones. However there might be a case for flying the flag of the Russian Federation on the other side of the Scottish Saltire, as after a following out with some of his contemporaries in the USN he went on to fight for the Russian Empire successfully at a rank of Rear Admiral
