Life On Graves

Today there was another of several annual birthday celebrations in Woodlands Cemetery, near my place. The weather was wonderfully bright and mild, the air of Spring breathing a smile onto every face.

We ate, we talked, we sprawled on the grass and sat on the tombstones. A few of us made a brick-bordered garden plot on Oscar Neef's grave. Plants will go into it very soon, to pay respect to that hero.

In this image, one of the birthday ladies swings at a piñata automobile, and misses. It was a high point in the gathering. One more swing brought candy and bags of popcorn to Earth.

Long Live The Spring!
