Street scenes

This is a scene that repeats itself endlessly throughout Istanbul, but on this occasion down on the waterfront at Bahescesir University where we spent a happy couple of hours this morning, watching the world go by, drinking coffee, taking photos and wandering up and down, as it got warmer and warmer by the minute.

Today was a quiet day, allowing me time to experiment quite a lot more with my camera. I took endless pictures of tulips in order to figure out the impact of evaluative metering versus spot metering, and large versus small apertures. But that's not really for the blipfoto journal.

After our wanderings, we went for a late lunch, back to the place we tried on Wednesday evening, which does excellent 'plain' food, from the southern Turkish province of Hatay which is where I assume the owners of the cafe came from. Brilliant bread straight out of the oven, and excellent salads and kebabs.

Early start tomorrow, back to the Burgh.

The well used workspace featured in today's hotel blip.
