Spent an hour and a half today being re-routed by police around the single-track "Scenic Route' to avoid an accident on the main road south from Skye at Sconser.

It was all going quite well with a lot of good humour and sensible driving until one stupid man in a sports car couldn't see why we wouldn't all just ditch our cars off the road to allow him to drive past. He must have argued for a good quarter of an hour until one sensible Yorkshire voice told him to "get in your f**king car and just get on with it like the rest of us", which he eventually did.

Isn't it amazing how one idiot can give morons a bad name?

The down side to the story is that the poor guy on the motorbike, whose accident caused the road closure, lost his life. Sometimes you're just grateful to enjoy the sun.
