Matchless Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday lunch at my cousin's. Delicious food, interesting conversation and great company, we always have a good time with him and his family. He's an engineer with a passion for motorcycles. In his youth, he and his brother raced in the Isle of Man TT. Scarily brave!

After lunch we popped out to the garage to see his latest project. He's rebuilding a rare vintage motorcycle, a 1936 Matchless G80 Clubman, which has a 495 cc top valve engine. I was fascinated to take a close look at the meticulous job he's making of its reconstruction. There is something magical about seeing such a precious piece of machinery being given a new lease of life. Can't wait to see it on the road, a few months from now.
