Judgment Day

Today was Judgment Day in Cardiff, 2 games back to back, Blues v Scarlets then Dragons v Ospreys.

Since it was Easter Sunday it was a pain to catch a train (ooo, it rhymes) so we had to travel to Newport to catch a train, so on the way we picked up the lovely Jane so she didn't have to leave her car in Newport. Typically the first train was only 2 carriages and was rammed, the next was a long one so that was cool so the wait wasnt too long. As soon as we hit Cardiff we found a pub to have a few pints, well why not, it was Easter. Even though we are not Blues or Scarlets fans we wanted to take in the whole experience so off to the Stadium we went Jane was only staying with us for the first match as she was meeting a friend for the second match but we did have great time.

The Blues did very well in beating the Scarlets in the first match, but it was all about the second match, Dragons v Ospreys. On paper the Ospreys should of demolished the Dragons, but the Dragons didn't read that. They defended magnificently for most of the first half and caused problems with ball in hand. Half time 0-0.

In the second the Dragons took their chances and scored first, the crowd went wild for the under dogs. But eventually the Ospreys constant pressure told, and with a penalty try given at the end they won by 10. A valiant effort by the Dragons and a performance to be proud of.

A great day was finished off by waiting for a train for 40 mins in the pouring rain, so it was a soggy end.
