Easter Monday

On the Road to Emmaus

Our friend and neighbour has published a life of Christ in Gaelic intended mainly for school children and based on the four Gospels of the New Testament.

With this being Easter Monday and the fourth day after the crucifixion, I thought to blip the appropriate passage in Luke chapter 24 from the Gaelic/ English Bible alongside the cover of his book.

Today is a public holiday and the weather has reverted to winter, with a haar down on Arthur's Seat and holiday makers clothed as though for the ski slopes. The forecast says it feels like 6 degrees, and I wouldn't argue with that.

As I phone around the Hebrides for suitable camp sites, it surely makes the thought of living under canvas in little over a month hard to envisage.

Edit: the sun is trying to pierce the gloom- I hope it succeeds
