Queens Birthday Salute

A friend messaged me a couple of days ago to say his regiment were giving the 21 gun salute for the Queens birthday salute. Today, 21st April, is her actual 88th birthday (born 1926).

The exact date of the celebration today varies from country to country and except by coincidence does not fall on the day of the monarch's actual birthday (that of the present monarch being 21 April. In some cases, it is an official public holiday.

Just before the 21 gun salute I got called away but not before I captured one of the three gun's firing right outside Cardiff City Hall.
