Pictorial blethers

Homeward bound ...

An empty deck ahead of us as the Western Ferries Sound of Seil heads towards the sunset. For some reason the boat set sail almost immediately we - and the two cars which arrived in the queue just after us - had boarded, and we bashed across at a fair old speed under a wonderful peach-coloured sky.

For a change we had spent the day in the warmest place in the country: Ayr had at least 19ºC if not 20º. The drive up the Ayrshire coast was beautiful, with Arran doing its usual trick of moving north as we did (try it and see for yourself) and we had only a short wait for the ferry.
