Lilacs In The Spring

When I got home today, after being away for about ten days, I discovered that the lilac tree in the garden has come into bloom. It's earlier than usual, probably because of the mild Spring we're having, as it's usually not fully out until the beginning of May. I was very glad that I hadn't missed it, as it makes a spectacular display during the short period it lasts.
