Doe

Spotted this little doe whilst walking Flash-the-collie, who was very obedient and retrained herself from try to round up the deer. The doe studied us for a bit, got to her feet and studied us a bit more, then jumped over the fence into the field of rape. As we walked down the hill and became level with where the doe had been, we saw, briefly, two deer's heads bobbing in and out of view as they drifted away, like a pair of porpoises surfing a yellow tide.
