Leaderfoot Viaduct

We drove home this morning having had a wonderful weekend with family in Scotland. I've passed this viaduct many times on the road through the Borders but have never taken the time to stop, until today. Sadly the weather was very overcast but the rain had stopped for a brief spell. According to Wikipedia, the viaduct was opened in November 1863 and stands 116 feet from the river valley and the arches span 43 feet. Trains ceased to use the viaduct in 1965 but it appears to be in good condition having been renovated between 1992 and 1995.
