Seaweed for Neolithics.

The Neolithic huts at Stonehenge Visitor Centre really taking shape now. great work by all the volunteers. One problem met is the rain water won`t go away. So a drilling machine brought in today. Drills down 3ft to the chalk, shatters the top bit and then pumps in compressed seaweed pellets. These expand and keep the small cracks open. Surface water should now disappear. I think the problem began with all that very heavy machinery compacting during the building work of the Visitor centre. Hope to go tomorrow, get a photo of "Dougal", the one hut that is now finished.
