the locks

spent some time this weekend at my (ex)boyfriends house again. up in kawartha lakes, i wanted to get out and about so we got a little lost and stumbled upon the locks. part of the Trent Severn Waterway i beleive..

they're completely unbarricated(sp?) so we just wandered up and across them. kinda scary if you ask me. kids could wander across and fall right in. theres barely even a railing.

the undertow and current in the water was really intimidating. by the end i was frozen, but it was neat in any case
