Back to School with George Wyllie

I seem to be taking several daunders down school memory lanes this weather...
After yesterday's Blip about My Gran's Dux Medal, today I was in Gourock going through papers in the late George Wyllie's personal archive.
George attended Bellahouston Academy in Glasgow's south side for 15 months from September 1936 - December 1937. Having gained a scholarship, he spent three years at exclusive city centre secondary, Allan Glen's, from 1933-1936, but opted to finish his secondary schooling closer to home at Bellahouston.
I'm co-writing a book about George with his elder daughter, Louise and we are busy looking into the renowned Scottish artist's early life.
Creative Scotland have very generously awarded us funding to research the book, which is due to be published in autumn 2015 by Birlinn.
Expect the unexpected with George Wyllie. Can't wait to start writing...
