A lily for the Bard of Avon

Stargazer lily [SOOC, uncropped].

The lily I condemned for thy hand

Sweets to the sweet

Chantler63 Shakespeare Challenge and National Poetry Writing Month
Day 23: The Bard’s 450th Birthday

To gild refined gold, to paint the lily,
To throw a perfume on the violet,
To smooth the ice, or add another hue
Unto the rainbow, or with taper-light
To seek the beauteous eye of heaven to garnish,
Is wasteful and ridiculous excess.
— KING JOHN

In hearty accord with this sentiment, and dumbfounded by the thought of producing on Shakespeare's 450th birthday whatever puny and pathetic poesy my mind might egregiously entertain, inviting invidious comparison, I hereby make my NaPoWriMo offering (plagiarizing from John Cage):

4'33" of silence.

Thanks so very much for your continued support.
I simply can't spend much time here at the moment
and I feel very sorry about that!
