Landern Tarn day 2

Coming from a quiet East Devon village this London thing is such an assault on ones senses ! So many people ! And buses, and sirens. In Uplyme if we hear a siren we say "oh no who's that ?" here it's relentless! And anonymous.
This morning accompanied by nephew William we visited Churchill's War Rooms which were very interesting then we walked through into Whitehall past the Cenotaph, Downing Street and on up to Trafalgar Square , from there we walked to Leicester Square, past Chinatown and into Covent Garden. Then Will went home and we went on to Russell square ( where Mum lived when she was a Great Ormond Street nurse) then we were just in time to walk through the British Museum ( amazing ceiling in The Great Court) before it closed and then underground to Green Park and along to the Mayfair Hotel. For cocktails with Martin our friend's son who lives and works an exhausting (to me) life but he loves it ! Home to Twickers where good nephew had ordered a curry ! Lovely niece and sweet friend arrived soon after. Another happy day.

A montage blip of the British museum, a Horseguard, my Mojito, and the ceiling of the Great Court !
