Design Puzzle

We have constructed the necessary amount of gabion baskets for our flow-through planter retention walls. The wall on the ground plane acts as seating along the building line. These gabion baskets will also serve as seating by echoing the same perpendicular-to-the-walk orientation. The challenge is to insinuate the line while providing enough space to not create the illusion of a gateway. We do not want people to feel trapped as they take this walkway to our courtyard's plaza. Hopefully, this seating will encourage students to relax and socialize with one another as they exit or enter our department.
